The Royal Wedding Competition has been featured on the front page of The Timaru Herald and the front page of The Ashburton Guardian. It was also featured in Australian newspaper, The Bunbury Mail and on Ashburton radio.
Christchurch Earthquake Fundraiser
In September 2010, Canterbury was hit by a devastating earthquake. Luckily, the quake struck in the early hours of the morning and the streets were largely empty. However in February 2011, a sizable aftershock struck the city close to lunchtime. Hundreds of lives were lost and the city was left in complete disarray.
Having lived in Christchurch only a year prior to the quake I feel a very strong tie to the city. Many of my friends and family still live there, and I felt so helpless being so far away.
Myself and local businesses banded together and organised a fundraiser for a preschool in the suburbs which had lost it’s buildings. Together, we raised over $4000. Phunkey Photography was featured in Latitude, The South Canterbury Herald and The Waitaki Herald during the fundraiser.
