Phunkey Fundraiser 2012

It’s that time again – fundraising time!! Last year was epic; with the whole community working towards raising funds to get a Christchurch preschool back on it’s feet after the devastating Christchurch Earthquake. Over 70 families participated in the fundraiser and together we raised over $4000 which went directly to the families and children of Christchurch.

This year we’re supporting an exciting new cause, one that you can all get even more involved with:

“Imagine what 29 days alcohol-free can do for your waistline, your wallet and your liver! febfast throws the challenge out to everyone to give your body a break this February – the shortest month of the year – so you can approach the New Year with a clear head and provide kids with a fresh start.”

There are two ways you can get involved with our fundraising this year (and some fab incentives to do so!)

Sponsor me.
Sponsor me to join the febfast gang this year and go 29 days absolutely alcohol-free. I’ll be ‘matching’ your donations with some awesome free portraiture sessions. Check the donations guideline below.

Give a sponsorship of $55 or more (100% of your donation goes directly to febfast) and receive a free mini-session & five internet files (those are internet size, watermarked files for use online)

Give a sponsorship of $75 or more (again, 100% of your donation goes directly to febfast) and receive a free mini-session & five high resolution-printable files – for you to re-print as many times as you’d like. Grandma’s birthday? Sorted.

To sponsor me to complete the febfast and receive the awesome incentives mentioned above without having to give up the grog yourself, check here. You’ll need to select or type in the amount you’d like to donate, and be sure to select my name (Cathie Watts) from the team members list. If you sponsor another team member by mistake youwill not be able to redeem the incentives listed above and this cannot be reversed, so please check carefully that you have chosen me as the team member to sponsor. You also need to check that you provide your full name and make your name and email available to the fundraiser. It’s also important that you do not hide your donation amount from the fundraiser, else I will not be able to check which incentive you are entitled to.

Once you have paid your sponsorship, you will need to go over to the booking form to book your mini session.

Join the team.
The most fabulous way to get involved with this years fundraiser is to join me. Sign up as a part of the Phunkey Photography febfast team and raise funds for yourselves… there are some even more fabulous incentives for team members. Check out the guidelines below.

Sign up as a team member, complete the febfast and raise at least $100 to receive a a free weekday full portrait session.

Sign up as a team member, complete the febfast and raise at least $200 to receive a a free weekday full portrait session & internet files of all your gallery images (that’s files of 25-30 professionally processed, internet sized and watermarked images for use online)

Sign up as a team member, complete the febfast and raise at least $500 to receive a free weekday full portrait session and high resolution-printable files – for you to re-print and share as many times as you’d like. Grandma’s birthday isn’t the only thing sorted; so is Uncle Dave’s, Aunty Mildred’s, Cousin James, your parents anniversary and Christmas for five years. All while helping out a fab charity lend a hand to some awesome young adults. Sahweet.

How do I become a team member?
To sign up as a team member you will need to head over to the team page and click ‘join the team’. You’ll need to enter the team password (complete this form to receive the team password) and donate $25 to the cause to join the team.

Once you’re added to the team list you’ll be provided with a link that you can share with friends and family to ask them to sponsor you. Further information about joining the team will be provided to you via email.

Questions/fine print (there’s always fine print).
What is the difference between a full session and a mini session?
Full sessions are much more personal, family orientated and involved. Basically, we’ll choose a time that suits you and your children and a location that fit’s your family perfectly. We’ll chat over your wardrobe and hang out for an hour or two at an awesome location, taking some awesome pictures of you being natural with your family. There is no time or participant limit on full sessions as they are tailored to suit everyone in your family. Check out a recent family portrait session here.

A mini session is just that – a 30 minute session at a non flexible location (these mini sessions will be held at The Shearers Quarters, near Timaru) and booked at a non flexible time (March 3rd is the next available date). Due to time restrictions, there is a limit of four participants to a mini session and if you are late your session will not be extended.

What if I don’t want to become a team member and complete the febfast, but I want to sponsor you and I have more than four people in my family?
There is no limit on how many donations you can make. So you could receive two mini sessions, back to back by sponsoring me at least $110. You would then receive a one hour session, and 10 internet/printable files dependent on your donation amount. Please email me before doing this, with the number and ages of the people you would like to participate in your session.

What exactly are internet files?
Internet files are 600px on the longest side & watermarked with the Phunkey Photography logo. This means you can only use them on the computer – they are perfect for emailing to family and friends overseas and sharing on Facebook. You cannot print internet files.

And high resolution files?
High resolution-printable files are for printing. They come with a license to re-print the images for any personal use. You can also use these files online, email and facebook as well as using them for gifts – there’s an endless supply of things you can create with your photos at a photolab such as Harvey Norman.

Where does the money go?
The money is paid directly to febfast and febfast pass the funds onto the charities such as Rainbow Youth, Evolve, Care NZ and ADHD Association. Check out the febfast website for full details – as they explain it far better than I!
